BRONX, N.Y. — Kingston High’s boys and girls cross-country teams fashioned outstanding performances in the prestigious 53rd annual Manhattan University Cross-Country Invitational at historic Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, Oct. 11.

The Tigers’ girls finished fifth in the Varsity A competition, with Hazel Lewis leading the way with a runner-up finish with a time of 15 minutes, 13.9 seconds, over the 2.5-mile course. Charlotte McFarland notched a top-10 finish by taking ninth for the Tigers.

There were 195 girls competing in the race.

Maeve Paul took 16th in the race. The Tigers had a fine team performance, despite being short-handed for the invitational.

The Kingston boys took eighth place in the Varsity B race behind three great individual runs and good pack work.
