Five Emporia State University (ESU) alumni have been tapped to receive the university’s highest awards for alumni - the Distinguished Alumni Award. The graduates will be honored at the Black and Gold Gala, set for October 31 during ESU’s Homecoming Weekend.
Each awardee was nominated by a joint committee and selected by the Alumni Association Board of Directors. The awards honor alumni who have made a significant impact in their profession and their community.
“Each year's Distinguished Alumni represent leaders across diverse fields whose accomplishments reflect the spirit, values and enduring legacy of Emporia State University,” a written release stated.
