PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria Community Development Department will be hosting an event to help clean up the city's West Bluff on Saturday.

City staff and volunteers will meet at Campustown near University and Main streets on Oct. 18, and clean the surrounding neighborhood during its annual Trash or Treat event, a Peoria city Facebook post said.

Those who participate can dress up in their Halloween costume and clean up the area from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants will be able to trade the bags of trash they collect for treats.

This is considered a family friendly event, and everyone is welcome.
