AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE has obtained an affidavit in the case of a man accused of killing a woman in North Austin.

Enrique Gomez-Urbina, 21, was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Oct. 8 after being wanted on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Mary Gonzales.

Gonzales, 43, was found behind an auto repair shop in the 8200 block of Research Blvd. on Oct. 6 with visible injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the homicide occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 5, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit states that Gomez-Urbina’s vehicle was seen in a nearby parking lot the night before Gonzales was found. When police arrested him, officers found beer bottles and ammunition that matched evidence found at the scene, according to the affidavit.
