(WFSB) - The powerful rain and wind has been impacting people in Connecticut all day on Monday, including in the northwest corner.
The Eversource crews have their work cut out for them, trying to restore power quickly. But there’s still some jobs they’ll have to hit later on Monday night or Tuesday.
As hundreds wait for the power to be turned back on in Torrington, crews are making progress – one job at a time.

In Harwinton, the road closed sign is a mere suggestion, driving underneath this tree- only held up by a power line.
The powerful 30-40 mile per hour wind gusts did more than enough damage in the northwest.
