The weather is still going to be fairly abnormal for Michigan in mid-October. It won’t feel as bizarre as last week just because it will be a little cooler at times. The next storm is just a little too far out to have a lot of confidence, but it is showing up as a good possibility.

We have long-term average high temperatures dropping at the fastest rate of any time in the year. We start this week with a long-term average high around 64 degrees. By this weekend the average high for the southern half of Michigan drops to the upper-50s. We are actually losing a degree a day on the average temperature.

When we are talking about highs in the 60s and 70s, that is still very warm talk for this date.
