LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington family got quite the surprise over the weekend when a massive pig wandered onto their Leestown Road property near Midway, leading to an almost 24-hour ordeal to remove the unexpected visitor.

Leigh Anne Hayes says her son saw this large animal on their Leestown Road property near Midway at about 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. At first glance he thought it was a bear.

Hayes called police and Lexington Fayette Animal Care and Control to come get the 500-pound juvenile meat hog off the property.
