UTICA, New York (WWNY) - The trial of an Adams man, David Kingsley will enter into its second week on Tuesday.

Kingsley is one of three defendants on trial for his part in the beating, which killed Marcy Correctional Facility inmate Robert Brooks.

So far, eleven witnesses have taken the stand. Most notably, Robert Kessler, a former CO involved in the incident who took a plea deal.

It’s expected at least one more witness will take the stand before the prosecution rests its case: former Sergeant Glenn Trombley.

Trombley was one of two supervisors in the room during the beating. He also took a plea deal.
