BATON ROUGE — Brian Kelly has felt like his real quarterback has been missing the last few weeks.
But LSU football 's 20-10 win over South Carolina Saturday night inside Tiger Stadium, the Garrett Nussmeier he knows made his return by his estimation.
"He plays with a swagger, and he's better with a swagger, right?" Kelly said of Nussmeier. "I don't think that he had that the previous weeks. I thought he was a little bit robotic and we said (to him), 'Listen, you need to be Garrett Nussmeier.' BUY LSU FOOTBALL TICKETS
"And he was."
Against the Gamecocks, LSU's senior gunslinger was 20 of 33 for 254 yards with two passing touchdowns. He also ran four times, picking up 30 yards.
Nussmeier also threw a pair of interceptions. One of those came at the goal line off a run-pass-option
