AUBURN — Hugh Freeze announced Monday, Oct. 13, that Damari Alston , one of his team captains, was no longer with the Auburn football program.
A question prompted Freeze to address Alston's status, to which he said the senior "failed to meet the expectations and standards of our program," though Freeze didn't confirm Alston's exit until midway through his media availability.
Asked to both confirm Alston's status and discuss the temperature of his locker room two questions later, Freeze only only spoke on the later. Three questions later, Freeze was asked point blank whether or not Alston would continue playing for the Tigers. DAMARI ALSTON DEPARTS: Auburn football team captain, running no longer with program
