A person was rescued from the ocean off Massachusetts during a nor'easter on Monday after they were spotted in the water from a Steamship Authority ferry, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The agency was alerted about 3:19 p.m. by the Steamship Authority to a person seen in the water while a ship was headed to Woods Hole.

People searching by air and sea found the person and brought them to Air Station Cape Cod.
