DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — A St. Ambrose University freshman has earned a place among the nation’s most dedicated blood donors.

Brenna Teerlinck was inducted into the Fresenius Kabi National Blood Donation Hall of Fame, joining only 11 other people across the country to receive this prestigious honor in 2025. She was recognized Monday during a ceremony at Impact Life in Davenport.

Teerlinck began donating blood in 2023 as soon as she turned 16, driven by personal motivation rooted in family tragedy and love.

Personal tragedy sparked lifelong commitment

The 19-year-old lost her father and brother in a motorcycle accident when she was very young. Her cousin stepped into the role of “big brother,” but had a genetic disease that required him to receive nearly 600 units of blood.
