A Tennessee woman who was wanted by police for allegedly assaulting her wheelchair-bound ex-boyfriend has been arrested.
Taneshia Gearing, 29, was arrested by officers from the Chattanooga Police Department on Friday after a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of domestic assault and vandalism. She posted bond and was released from custody. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by local ABC affiliate WTVC, the charges stem from an alleged incident in June 2024 involving Gearing and her former boyfriend, who told police that Gearing beat him and pulled him out of his wheelchair.
