BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - People in our region reacted with relief mixed with caution on Monday as a fragile ceasefire took hold in Gaza and hostages returned home to Israel.

President Trump was in the Middle East to celebrate the peace agreement that ended fighting in Gaza and brought those Israeli hostages home.

All 20 remaining living hostages were reunited with their families after two years of captivity.

Here in our region, locals were reacting to the news.

Temple Sinai in Burlington and Vermonters for Justice in Palestine both said this is a step in the right direction.
