If something’s gotta give, it certainly won’t be fans' love for the late Diane Keaton .

After the Oscar winner died Oct. 11 at age 79 , several stars took to social media to pay tribute .

Keaton's cause of death has yet to be revealed. However, Carole Bayer Sager , the musician who worked with her on her song " First Christmas ," recently recalled the last time she saw the actress.

"I saw her two or three weeks ago, and she was very thin," the songwriter told People , noting they hadn’t seen each other as often this year as Keaton had spent some time in Palm Springs following the L.A. fires. "She had lost so much weight."

However, Keaton "was a magic light for everyone," Sager added. “I just loved her. She was so special, she just lit up a room with her energy. S
