FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons will be without wide receiver Darnell Mooney for the second time this season. Mooney missed the team's Week 1 home opener as he nursed back to health following a shoulder injury sustained in the early days of training camp. He missed all of the preseason because of it.
Returning to action in Week 2, Mooney has caught seven passes for 79 yards in the weeks since. However, he left the Falcons' Week 4 win against the Washington Commanders early with a hamstring injury. Despite the team's bye week last week, Mooney did not participate in practices through the week's prep to face the Buffalo Bills this Monday night. He was officially ruled out Saturday, along with CB Clark Phillips III (tricpes/illness), DL LaCale London (triceps) and DL Ta'Quon Graham
