Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick will start in center field on Oct. 13 in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series , a spot where he has played only once since the end of May and not since Aug. 18.

The Gold Glove-winning right fielder shifted to the middle with Jackson Chourio drifting from left field to right field. That opened a spot for Isaac Collins to make his first start in the postseason, playing left field and batting eighth.

Functionally, that means Collins is taking a spot in the lineup that's been occupied by Blake Perkins, and it's an interesting call.
