SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - After more than two years in captivity, Israel said the last remaining hostages have been released from Gaza.

Inside the Jewish Educational Alliance (JEA) in Savannah, the mood on Monday was one of gratitude and renewed faith.

“I think the whole Jewish world has been holding our breath for two years, and we can finally take a breath now,” said Sam Friedman, chief executive officer of the JEA.

“When I first heard the hostages were going to be freed today, the first thing I did was look to see what time it was going to be in the United States," Friedman said. “So, I couldn’t even sleep last night.
