Deputies in south-central Missouri are investigating a fetus found inside a cooler at a home in Pulaski County.

A Virginia woman was arraigned in Pulaski County Associate Circuit Court last Friday on a felony charge of first-degree harassment. The charge stems from an incident last week in which the woman allegedly put a dead fetus into a cooler and gave it to a man in Waynesville, saying, “Here’s your kid,” and then drove away.

She was later captured by county sheriff’s deputies and taken to the Pulaski County Jail, where she is currently being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Her bond hearing is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, October 28.
