Avon has moved up to No. 1 in Class 9B and three new teams have moved into the rankings in the latest South Dakota Prep Media Football Poll released on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025.

Avon, previously No. 2, jumped up a spot when Sully Buttes lost last week.

Spearfish (No. 4 in Class 11AA), Wagner (No. 5 in Class 11B) and Ipswich (No. 5 in Class 9A) are new teams in the poll this week.

Changes in the 11-man divisions include Sioux Falls Jefferson up to No. 3, Harrisburg down to No. 4 and O'Gorman down to No. 5 in Class 11AAA; Yankton up to No. 2, Pierre up to No. 3 and Tea Area down to No. 5 in Class 11AA; West Central up to No. 3, Lennox up to No. 4 and Madison down to No. 5 in Class 11A; and Clark-Willow Lake up to No. 4 in Class 11B.
