AUSTIN, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation wanted to remind Texans to have their heating check before colder weather starts to come in across the state.

TDLR officials said it is important to have natural gas or propane heating systems checked to make sure those systems are venting carbon monoxide and burned gases to the outside where they can safely dissipate.
