WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Williamsburg County investigators are working to determine whether a pair of shootings in the Kingstree area on Saturday are related.

Deputies responded to a home on Promised Land Road where a shooting had been reported. As they made their way to that scene, deputies received word of a second shooting on Jerico Road, a short distance away, Investigator Jalisa Brown said.

Deputies say a person inside the Promised Land Road home was wounded when someone fired into the home. EMS took that victim to an area hospital.

At the second scene, deputies found a gunshot victim lying outside a home. That victim was taken to an area hospital in a personal vehicle, Brown said.

Nearby medical facilities reported treating several others for gunshot wounds, Brown said,
