PITTSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Pittsboro Board of Commissioners will discuss the Reeves Farm Development in a meeting on Monday night and consider approving Phase One of the project.
"This is a major development project on the west side of town," town spokesperson Colby Sawyer said.
The project would ultimately transform nearly 500 acres along Route 64, west of downtown Pittsboro , into thousands of homes and retail.
"We know having a place for people to live is going to be certainly very impactful," Sawyer said. "We know people want to be in Pittsboro . This will facilitate that."
The development is one of several in Pittsboro's pipeline that address the rapidly growing area.
