The Chicago Bears will be without their starting kicker for Monday’s game against the Commanders, as Cairo Santos will miss the contest.

Santos, who was listed as questionable with a right thigh injury, will not suit up for Chicago as they try to win their third game in a row on Monday night.

Santos has made six-of-seven field goals so far this season and all 11 of his extra points, but he’ll miss Monday’s game as the Bears kick things off on Monday Night Football.

Prior to Monday’s game, the Bears elevated kicker Jake Moody from their practice squad, and he’ll handle field goals and extra points in the game. Moody was released by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 after missing two short field goals, and he went 24-for-34 in field goal attempts during the 2024 season.
