MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - For the first time since a tow truck crashed into a Madison Police Department officer and his K9, while leading police on a chase through multiple municipalities, Officer Kimberley and K9 Freddie got to be together.
While Kimberley is recovering, another K9 handler has been caring for Freddie. The handler shared a photo of the two reuniting.
Madison Police Officer Kimberley was recently moved to a rehab facility after undergoing multiple surgeries at a local hospital.
Since the crash on September 27th, a fundraiser page has been set up to support him and his family. As of Monday, the page has raised more than $94,000.
