A man was shot to death Monday morning, Oct. 13, outside the Jack in the Box in Hemet at 3111 W. Florida Avenue.

Judith Gibson, a Hemet police spokeswoman, said the occupants of a car that contained two adults and an infant were involved in the shooting of the man.

Gibson said the dead man is considered the victim and that the adults in the car have been detained for questioning.

Images from Action Eye News LIVE showed a body covered by a yellow blanket next to the restaurant.

A police news release said dispatchers received a call about a shooting around 9:45 a.m. at the shopping center near Sanderson Avenue. Officers arrived to find the man dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
