KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department is teaming up with other agencies to take a new approach to a leadership academy. Department leaders said it will better prepare officers to keep you safe.
On Monday, KPD kicked off the inaugural “Tri-City Police Leadership Academy.” It’s a joint-led workshop with the Louisville Metro Police Department and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for mid-level department supervisors.
KPD Deputy Chief Joe McHale said mid-level leadership is the backbone of any police organization.
