DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and Bettendorf schools are using it as more than just a reminder — they’re turning it into action.
National statistics show that one out of every five students experience bullying. It’s a problem Bettendorf Community School District says it is addressing not just in October, but every day of the year.
“Bully Prevention Month is not just the month of October. It’s every day throughout the year,” said Sarah Harris, the district’s Social-Emotional Behavioral Health Coordinator. “We are focused on making classrooms safer and more supportive every day.”
