Knicks officially cut ties with 25-year-old former first-round pick after six games

Not every player receives a second chance with an organization.

A 25-year-old former lottery pick appeared in six games with the New York Knicks last season, but won’t return to the franchise after reportedly agreeing to a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers .

“If everything goes as expected, MarJon Beauchamp will sign a contract with the Sixers,” The Philly Inquirer’s Keith Pompey reported Sunday. “Sources have said the 6-foot-6 small forward has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Sixers.”

Beauchamp, who the Portland Trail Blazers recently waived, has yet to experience a breakout campaign in the big leagues.
