PORTLAND, Ore. — Several major U.S. airports are refusing to display a controversial Department of Homeland Security video featuring Secretary Kristi Noem blaming congressional Democrats for the ongoing government shutdown, citing concerns about political messaging and violations of state and federal law.
Travelers in Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Ore. and several other airports around the country will not see the footage, which blames congressional Democrats for shutdown-related flight delays, according to airport authorities who confirmed their decisions Monday.
The video was intended to play on monitors at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints nationwide. In the video, Noem states , "It is TSA’s top priority to make sure that you have the most pleasant and efficient airport
