July 21, 2005 Diane Keaton received the Helen Woodward Animal Center's 2005 Humane Award for her help in the mission to find homes for orphaned pets. She was the spokesperson for the center's Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Drive. The legendary actress worked for the center for over two decades.
