CAREFREE, Ariz. — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch and flood advisory for Carefree on Monday evening.

The flood watch and advisory are set to expire at 8 p.m.

According to a news release from the town of Carefree, the heavy rainfall could lead to flooding, particularly at washes, low-water crossings, and other flood-prone areas. Drivers are encouraged to avoid these areas and not to drive through any low-water crossings.

Residents are asked to drive cautiously, stay home if they can, and secure any outdoor belongings.
