CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The city of Cleveland has been granted a temporary restraining order by a Cuyahoga County judge, allowing the temporary closure of Filter Restaurant Experience until a hearing takes place.
The city filed a complaint in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, noting its history of trouble and liquor violations at the restaurant.
The city used Ohio’s “Padlock Law” to make its case to the state to obtain the temporary restraining order.
According to court records, the Cleveland Police 3rd District Vice Unit has received multiple complaints from the community and reports of crimes at the premises, which included a deadly June shooting after a man left the establishment.
