BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo has identified the man killed in a house fire Saturday night .

Officials have identified the victim as 71-year-old Randy Warner, known to many in his Riverside neighborhood as "Grandpa Randy" or "Papa Randy."

The fire began sometime after 6 p.m. at a 1½-story home on 112 Rano Street. A spokesperson for the Buffalo Fire Department says flames started in the front of the building.

A firefighter was also injured during the response and taken to the hospital to be evaluated. Officials say their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The blaze caused an estimated $150,000 in damage to the home and another $75,000 to its contents. Two nearby homes — 98 and 114 Rano Street — also sustained about $10,000 in exposure damage. The cause of the fire rem
