AUBURN — While it never made a change under center in its loss to Georgia , Auburn football had one of its backup quarterbacks at the ready, Hugh Freeze said Monday, Oct. 13, on the Tiger Talk coaches radio show.
"We had him ready; we did," Freeze said in reference to Ashton Daniels . "But the first half was outstanding by Jackson (Arnold) . You certainly didn't want to break his momentum."
Earlier Monday, Freeze said Auburn would again start Arnold when it plays No. 16 Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 18. But Freeze's Tiger Talk comments indicated the Oklahoma transfer's leash may be shortened.
"If we're struggling to create positive vibes offensively because of quarterback play, we wouldn't hesitate to try Ashton," Freeze said. "We're going to play to win games. If he helps us
