STATE COLLEGE — With the James Franklin era at Penn State coming to a stunning end this weekend, it overshadowed the end of another lengthy and significant era for the Nittany Lions: the Drew Allar era.
The three-year starting quarterback sustained a season-ending injury in the final minutes of the 22-21 loss to Northwestern. And because he has played in more than four games in all four of his years at Penn State thus far, his career is officially over, barring an unexpected NCAA waiver.
