It’s been 10 years since Dione Thomas was killed in Gallup, New Mexico — and her sister, Karen Watson, is still waiting for justice.

“She was murdered in Gallup, New Mexico, in 2015,” Watson said. “We got a call that she had been taken to the hospital.”

Police say two people were involved in Thomas’s death, including her boyfriend at the time. Yet, despite interviews and investigations, no one has ever been charged.

“We’ve been told over the years that they were going to arrest him, file the charges against him,” Watson said. “And it’s just never happened.”

The Office of the Medical Investigator ruled Thomas’s death undetermined. The district attorney’s office in Gallup reportedly told Watson that the case had been closed, but she says she was never given confirmat
