The Harrisburg area man accused of trying to kill Gov. Josh Shapiro by firebombing the Governor’s Residence six months ago is scheduled for court Tuesday.

Cody Balmer, 38, of Penbrook, is scheduled to appear for plea court before Dauphin County Judge Deborah Curcillo at 8:30 a.m.

The offices of the district attorney and public defender declined to make a statement on the nature of Balmer’s first state court appearance.
