WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) -- With the mayoral election just weeks away, democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani held a rally with top supporters, among whom was Attorney General Letitia James, who was recently indicted on federal charges.

This was James' first public appearance since the charges were announced, and she indirectly addressed the accusations.

"I will not bow, I will not break, I will not bend, I will not capitulate," said James. "I will not give in, I will not give up. You come for me, you gotta come for all of us."

James officially endorsed Mamdani, saying, "I see the courage that he embodies, and that's why I support him."

The rally drew thousands of supporters and a handful of politicians who used the rally to also back Mamdani's run for mayor.
