A man who walloped a woman with a chair in an anti-LGBTQ hate-fueled attack in Brooklyn is on the run and being sought by police, authorities said Monday.

Police said the 35-year-old victim was approached by a unidentified man around 3 p.m. on Oct. 5 near New Lots Ave. and Vermont St. in East New York, where he made anti-LGBTQ statements while grabbing a chair and whacking the victim in the arm.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment by EMS, police said.

The suspect — wearing a white t-shirt, red shorts, and black sneakers — took off in a white Jeep Compass heading west on New Lots Ave., police said. Photos of the suspect have been released by police in the hope someone will recognize the assailant.
