DeWITT, Mich. (WLNS) - The DeWitt and Lansing Eastern boys soccer teams pulled away early in their respective district semifinal victories on Monday night, setting up a clash between the two on Thursday for the district championship.
DeWitt jumped out to a 5-0 halftime lead and went on to defeat Haslett 5-1 in the first semifinal of the night.
In the second semifinal, Lansing Eastern's Tresor Ebuela scored three goals in the first half to set the tone for a 6-1 Quaker victory over Lansing Sexton.
DeWitt will be making its eighth straight appearance in a district championship game.
This was Lansing Eastern's first postseason win since 2022.
The Quakers will play the Panthers at 7 p.m. Thursday for the district title.
