Tuesday, Oct. 14, marks the first anniversary of Orange County Sheriff's Office Lt. Ellie Padilla Shea's death.

Found dead in her bedroom and initially framed as a suicide, her estranged husband is now charged with her murder.

Shea's closest friends remember her as someone who was known for her natural charisma and her ability to light up a room. They say she “did it all” and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
