CHESHIRE, Conn. (NEWS10) -- Fonda native Keegan Croucher made quite the splash in the college football recruiting realm last week when he announced his commitment to Ole Miss. The four-star quarterback, Class of 2027, chose the Rebels over two other high-level Division I programs: Oregon and Penn State.

Croucher, who had a breakout freshman campaign with Fonda-Fultonville in 2023, leading the team to the Class C state championship game, is currently in his second season at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut. In 14 games with the Cats, he's racked up 30 passing touchdowns and nearly 3,000 yards.
