CANFIELD Waypoint 4180, located at 4180 Westford Place in Canfield, saw a large turnout on Monday of people participating in the 31st annual Pink Ribbon Tea event.

The tea, hosted by the Junior League of the Mahoning Valley, aims to unite and honor breast cancer survivors from across the Valley.

Nearly 500 survivors were in attendance at the event on Monday, sharing their own experiences, offering advice and showing support for others.

"You see survivors here who have survived for months, up to a fifty-year survivor, and you know that 'I got this, I can do this, we can do this together'," said Amy Banks, Chair of Pink Ribbon Tea.

One of the biggest points that Banks shared with 21 News was the importance of getting checked for breast cancer.
