BLEWETT PASS, Wash. – Highway 97 reopened this evening after a temporary closure this morning due to snow and crashes.
The State Department of Transportation closed the highway at milepost 164 at the summit of Blewett Pass around 6:30 a.m. due to heavy snowfall and accidents involving disabled semis.
Crews worked for about four hours to clear and plow the roads, ensuring safe passage for travelers.
