SALT LAKE CITY — Davis High School was placed under “HOLD” protocol after a bullet was found on the floor of a student locker room Monday morning.

Noelia Wallace, spokeswoman for the Kaysville Police Department, said a single 9 mm bullet was found at approximately 9:30 a.m. and prompted school officials to call police.

The school was placed under “HOLD” protocol, which meant that students remained in designated areas and classroom doors were locked.

Wallace said officers reviewed camera footage, interviewed individuals, and conducted a thorough search through the school. As of Monday afternoon, no weapons or additional bullets were found, and no students are in police custody.

The school was eventually released from the hold protocol, but Wallace did not say when.
