In the near silence of the Blue Jays clubhouse, the duffle bags were placed in front of all the lockers with nobody really talking much to each other, nobody having much to say.

Outside the clubhouse, in the area in which players meet their families, the hugs with wives and girlfriends and children seemed just a touch longer than usual.
