Jammu and Kashmir News: Two unidentified terrorists were killed after Indian Army troops foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Tuesday.

According to officials, troops detected suspicious movement near the LoC in Kupwara late on Monday night and challenged the intruders, prompting a brief exchange of fire.

“Alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged, which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire. Troops responded with effective fire, neutralising two terrorists. A large quantity of weapons and equipment was recovered,” the statement added.

The operation remains underway, the Army confirmed.
