CALAMUS, Iowa (KWQC) -They say there’s no place like home.

“Lately we’ve had a huge crowd at all these games which is a big step up from where we were last year I mean we would get a crowd but nothing like how it’s been this year” said Calamus-Wheatland senior Dain Sprague.

This year for the first time ever, the Warriors have a home to call their own.

“It can be overwhelming at times the amount of pride we have in the field and in the community within the program” said Calamus-Wheatland head coach Brian Higgins.

Before this season, Calamus-Wheatland didn’t have a field. The team would travel to Midland High School in Wyoming to play it’s home games.
