CLEVELAND, Ohio — Solon senior Serena Wu finished runner-up in the individual competition and defending state champion Magnificat was runner-up in the team competition Monday at the OHSAA Division I girls state golf championships at Akron’s Firestone Country Club.

Wu tied for fourth last season and was 19th as a sophomore. She led after Sunday’s first round, shooting a 69 for a four-stroke lead. She shot a 71 on Monday for a two-day total of 140. But she was edged out Monday by Olentangy’s Meadow Tian, who shot a second-round 66 to finish at 139.
